DiNi Consultants took part in the recently completed Cisco MAR project for NYPD with their Technology Partner HP and got involved in the following scope of work.
DiNi assigned a Project Manager who oversaw DiNi’s assessment and installation of the Hotspots for all Police Vehicles of NYPD. DiNi team together with HP and NYPD teams, developed a Project Schedule that described the implementation of the Hotspots and accommodated a completion date for the project. DiNi Field Engineers conducted site surveys (Assessments) of the NYC Precincts, Districts Offices and PSAs in order to prepare for installation of the Access Point component of the WLAN to these Hotspots. DiNi Security Engineers then deployed and configured the wireless controller, VPN and IDS at 1PP in addition to deploying and configuring one Cisco MAR 3230 using 4.9 GHz for 100 sites. DiNi also had a team of Network Engineers who deployed and configured Cisco MAR 3230 using 4.9 GHz at the assigned Vehicle Installation Facility in Queens for this project.
